Mr. Kriss has negotiated more than $100,000,000 in store leases, office leases and sales of properties. Under his oversight, David S. Kriss Realty has managed 2,500 apartments and 100 retail locations. He is the exclusive leasing agent for more than 25 office properties in the midtown New York City area. Mr. Kriss is responsible for rent collection, heating plant maintenance, renovation and alteration of facilities, lease negotiations, lease renewals and dispossess proceedings in Civil Court. In addition, Mr. Kriss organized a market plan for major acquisitions of commercial and residential properties as a principal for foreign and domestic investors.
Mr. Kriss is also the President-Owner of DSK Construction, Inc, a New York City Licensed General Contractor. In this role, Mr. Kriss has renovated and built offices, schools, upscale salons, health spas, gyms, showrooms, medical offices, recording studios, retail stores and hi rise-single family residential buildings. Mr. Kriss is responsible for managing design, demolition, framing, sheet rocking, flooring, marble-tile installation, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and detail finishing. He manages and employs 15-20 trades at one time and is responsible for financial disbursement of all funds.
Prior to founding David S. Kriss Realty, Mr. Kriss was Managing Director at the Reynolds Organization, Inc., Managing Director at Garrick-Aug Store Leasing, Inc., Executive Vice President-Owner at Davedon Development Company, Inc., Executive Vice President-Owner at Choice Realty Company, Inc., and Executive Assistant to the First Deputy Administrator of the Economic Development Administration of the City of New York. Mr. Kriss has taught at New York University, Long Island University, and Baruch College at the City University of New York. Mr. Kriss currently teaches at the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), where he is the Instructor of Real Estate Salespersons and Brokers in New York. Mr. Kriss lectures on the State Qualification License Requirement, Property Management, Real Estate Development & Construction, REITS, Condos & Coops, Finance, and Affordable & Non-Profit Housing. He has also been the radio host of the David S. Kriss Realty Show on Business America Radio, where he spoke to industry leaders on the various topics and issues of the commercial real estate business.
